I’m De Williams, a Perth-based photographer and exhibiting contemporary artist working across fine-art, editorial and large-scale commercial photography.

My practice operates in two interconnected areas. The first is a bold fine-art and mixed-media photography practice, exhibited locally and internationally, including the 2025 Pingyao International Photography Exhibition in China. This work explores alternative fashion, portraiture and materiality, producing image-led pieces that translate comfortably into gallery exhibitions, festivals and mixed-media contexts. As a practising artist, I focus on developing a strong, recognisable visual language that is conceptually rigorous while remaining immediately striking.

Alongside this, I run a commercial studio practice specialising in high-end editorial fashion, brand campaigns, portraits and large-scale events. I regularly photograph major launches, festivals, gallery exhibitions, fairs and events of all scales, as well as high-profile bands, creatives and brands. My approach combines an editorial eye with a documentary sensibility, allowing me to capture atmosphere, scale and narrative while delivering polished, publishable imagery.

Whether working on fashion editorials, cultural events or commissioned brand projects, I bring an artist’s perspective to every brief, creating cinematic, visually distinctive images that feel elevated, intentional and aligned with the client’s objectives.
