De Williams

I’m De Williams — a Perth-based photographer and exhibiting contemporary artist. My practice sits in two main parts: a bold fine-art and mixed-media photography practice shown in local and international gallery contexts (recent exhibition: the Pingyao International Photography Exhibition, China), and a commercial studio practice for fashion editorials, brand work, portraits and weddings.

My fine-art work explores alternative fashion, portraiture and materiality, producing image-led pieces that translate comfortably into gallery, festival and mixed-media formats. As a practising artist I pursue strong, original visual language — work that reads as both conceptually rigorous and immediately visual.

For commercial clients I bring that same creative signature to editorial and commissioned shoots: distinctive branding shoots, striking portraits and documentary-style wedding photography that feel cinematic but remain practical and deliverable. I design each session to align creative ambition with the commercial brief, so clients get memorable imagery that also meets campaign, catalogue or editorial needs.
